Switch Over to a Healthier Life! Go Organic!

We at Casetta Catering don’t consider organic food to be a trend.  To us it is considered a way of life.  It’s very exciting for us to be able to see how organics have become more important to the mainstream again when back in the day, it used to be considered the norm.  Before WW2 everything was grown in their natural habitat with no chemical interactions.

This all changed after WW2 when scientists decided to use chemicals to kill insects that were used in the war to help get “rid” of them.   Over time when they saw how well the chemicals got rid of insects from our food supplies, the scientists just created more and more chemicals to complete the job better.  But no consideration was taken into how these chemicals still effect the human body until recently.
Now big business is trying to get their foots in the door to promote organic foods too, in a good way.  For example, Costco now works with small farmers through helping them to be able to buy land and equipment to grow food naturally.  The movement is still in its infancy but Costco is looking to expand what they started.  They want to ensure that they will be able to keep up with demand for organic products by the mainstream population.
Chef Francesco Casetta believes in living a healthy lifestyle and supports the movement by only buying, cooking and serving organic dishes.  To him what you eat is part of the process.
The question of the day is; how can people improve their lifestyles by eating organic?  The answer is, through many ways.  A person would notice that they are feeling healthier and more alert due to not eating food that could be potentially hurt them.  They would notice that they are losing weight due to not eating a bunch of chemicals that gets turned into fat as the body doesn’t recognize them as food.
Just some things to consider when looking for benefits of switching over to organic…
